Gabe will be joining us as our guest from July 4 - 18, 2017.
Gabe Squalor is a queer tattoo artist who grew up in rural Nova Scotia and has been drawing, painting and creating her entire life. As a young adult Gabe spent most of her time touring across Canada and The United States as a folk musician, and learning how to tattoo. Finally landing in a small town in rural BC, Gabe settled down and opened her own tattoo studio and art and retail store called Feral Rose. After living off-grid in the woods for five years, Gabe has moved to the city of Vancouver and her tattoo career has blossomed.
Gabe's tattoo style comes from a unique place of being self-taught and living in the Country side. She is inspired by the natural world and re-creates her own interpretation of the natural world through an intentional minimalist lens without shading or colour. Gabe does a combination of blackwork and line work.
Gabe is now getting ready to leave us for touring with her musical project again, but this time doing tattoo guest spots across the country as well.
