Apprentice since October 2008
Jesse grew up in the suburbs of Calgary, Alberta. As far back as he can remember he has been at the drawing table. As a child his mother would hand him a napkin and pen in a restaurant to keep his busy mind entertained. His interest in art only grew from there, spending countless hours with a crayon, pen or pencil to paper.
Jesse approached Justina at Liquid Amber Tattoo and acquired an apprenticeship in October of 2008. He has since been learning the trade, tattooing himself and taking on new clients.
Jesse loves working with color and bold lines. He draws his inspiration from elements of nature, graphic novels, graffiti art and modern artists such as Mike Giant. Tattoo artists that he is inspired by include the likes of Shige, Kore Flatmo, Mr. Cartoon, Jeff Gogue and Nikko Hurtado.
Jesse hopes to be part of the Liquid Amber Tattoo team for many years to come. As for what the future holds, he welcomes it with open arms. "I love making people happy with my art, that’s what fuels my fire. There are few things in this world you can take to the grave with you, one of them being a badass tattoo. Tattooing is not only an art, but also a responsibility.I will forever approach it with respect for both my clients and myself."
