Shannon O'Shea (a.k.a. The Water Witch) has been painting and drawing as long as she can remember, and is the recipient of various Visual Arts Awards. Just after high school graduation she sought a tattoo apprentice under tattoo artist Carlos Vanst in 2008. After a two year apprenticeship, Shannon worked as a Junior Artist for 6 months and then decided to continue her college/university education at Langara college and Emily Carr University of Art and Design. Specializing in the medium of Painting and Ceramic sculpture,Shannon graduated in April of 2015 with a Bachelors in Visual Arts.

Shannon also enjoys working in the fashion world as an alt-model, collaborating with alt-fashion designers and photographers on a regular basis while juggling a career of tattoos. Tattooing on and off since 2010, Shannon is excited to try new and exciting things to build her portfolio and learn more about her craft. She is an avid reader and researcher of all things occult, ancient history, fairy-tale and mythology, which are some of her favourite subjects to design and tattoo.

Shannon enjoys obsessing over fine details and loves to give her pieces a bit of an illustrative 'noir' twist. She feels blessed that she gets to create & share art for a living, and is humbled by her customers’ trust, vulnerability, and determination to modify their bodies into the images that resonate with their souls.

Shannon’s books are closed at this time.
