Celebrating 25 Years of Liquid Amber Tattoo & Art Collective

Twenty five years. Four locations. Countless tattoos, friendships, and unforgettable memories.

When we first dreamed of Liquid Amber, we could never have imagined everything it would become. Over the past 25 years, what started as an idea has grown into a lasting part of Vancouver’s creative community. Through four locations, countless changes, and generations of artists and clients, we’ve stayed true to what matters most to us: creating a space for queer, women owned art, self expression, and genuine connection.

Celebrating this milestone with our community was incredibly special. Our 25th anniversary party was an opportunity to look back at where we started, honour the people who helped shape our story, and celebrate everything Liquid Amber has become. It was an evening filled with laughter, memories, and so much love for this strange and wonderful thing we’ve built together.

We’ve always said that Liquid Amber is more than a business, and we mean that with our whole hearts. It’s a chosen family made up of artists, clients, neighbours, friends, and kindred spirits who have walked through our doors over the years. Some have been here since the beginning, while others have joined us more recently, but every person who has been part of this journey has helped make Liquid Amber what it is today.

To our past and present resident artists, guest artists, front of house team, loyal clients, neighbours, and everyone who has supported us along the way, thank you. Thank you for trusting us with your tattoos, sharing your creativity, showing up for our events, and helping us create a space where people can feel welcome, express themselves, and find their people.

We also want to thank everyone who helped make our anniversary celebration so memorable. We felt incredibly lucky to have so many of our favourite humans in one room, celebrating 25 years of art, community, and chosen family.

Building Liquid Amber has been one of the greatest adventures of our lives, and we’re so grateful we’ve had the opportunity to do it together. We’re proud of what we’ve created, excited for what’s still to come, and deeply thankful to everyone who has been part of our story.
