Mirrors of the Mystic, an exhibit of original work by Autumn Skye, will be showcased from Oct 23, 2026 - Feb 2027.

For the opening night on Oct 23, we will also be hosting the 7th annual Witches of Vancouver Art Social.

Join us for an evening celebrating art, creativity, and the mystical, featuring local vendors, a cash bar, door prizes, witchy flash tattoos, and more.

About the showcase artist:

Autumn Skye is a Canadian Visionary Magic Realist Painter. Her work reflects a deep reverence for nature, humanity, and the unseen dimensions that connect all of life. Growing up amid the wild Canadian landscapes and shaped by extensive international travel, she draws inspiration from the beauty, diversity, and resilience of nature and humanity.

As a self-taught painter, Autumn Skye approaches her practice as a meditative dialogue between observation and intuition, a deep practice of discipline and surrender.

Her style blends refined realism with symbolic and archetypal imagery, exploring themes of consciousness and our place in the cosmos, our interconnectedness with nature and community, and our intimate personal perspective.

Exhibiting and teaching internationally, Autumn Skye continues to cultivate her practice in the temperate rainforest of British Columbia and uphold the mission of creative empowerment in others and the proliferation of beauty in the world around her.

Artist Statement:

I believe that art lives in paradox, at once both trivial and essential. A painting may be merely pigment and fabric, yet within that humble matter lies the power to transform. Art can soothe the wounded heart, rekindle vitality, and awaken joy. It speaks a language older than words, reaching the emotional subconscious where healing and truth reside. In moments of darkness, it can become a mirror, lantern, and a grounding touchstone of beauty in an otherwise bleak landscape.

Swiya Tew by Autumn Skye

Across history, humanity has turned to the arts to shape and reimagine our collective story. Art has the capacity to start revolutions, shift paradigms, and present paths forward toward wholeness. Now, as we stand at the threshold of profound global transformation, I see art as a compass pointing us toward new ways of seeing and being.

Each piece is a prayer, a dialogue between spirit, matter, and the mystery of existence. Since my earliest memories, I have felt a creative fire in my belly and an unyielding mission to share inspiration with the world. By learning to listen, I have come to trust the mysterious compass of the heart to navigate both my imagination and my life. I am continually humbled and empowered by the potent teachings of the visionary process.

This work is my offering: a gift from spirit, through my heart and hands, to you. May it awaken remembrance of your own inner knowing, creative essence, and resilient light.
