Welcome back, Milo!

Remember when Milo was here for a guest spot in November and December? Well, he liked it so much here that he is moving to Vancouver and going to be a resident LAT artist! Milo fit in so well with the LAT crew, we are thrilled to have him back. Feb 14 is his first day back in the shop. Happy Valentines Day to us!

 

L.A.T welcomes our newest artist, Shannon O'Shea!

We're thrilled to announce a new addition to the Liquid Amber family! Shannon O'Shea is a well-versed artist with a unique illustrative style that showcases fine detail and precise line-work. While she continues her secondary education at Emily Carr University of Art and Design she will be tattooing part time at L.A.T. until she graduates in April 2015 and joins us full-time. 2nd Annual Art Show Fundraiser!

This year's art show fundraiser is for North Shore Rescue, a volunteer search and rescue team in Vancouver. We have amazing local businesses donating goods and services to our silent auction and 7 local artists displaying original pieces of work. Along with raffle and door prizes, we'll have new merchandise designed by L.A.T artists and all sorts of fun things to check out. We hope you can come join us for the fun!

Liquid Amber Tattoo Art Show Fundraiser

Along with marking people with art… we like to give back to the community.

Each year, we hold an Annual Art Show Fundraiser and donate the proceeds to a local charity. Charities are chosen by a lottery system.  Our employees and clients will suggest nominations. Then we put them in a hat and… voila! We are proud to announce this years charity is: North Shore Rescue. NSR is a Mountain Search and Rescue Team based in Vancouver. This years Art Show Fundraiser info:

We’re still looking for contributions to in the form of goods, services, gift certificates, pretty much whatever. In return we will advertise your business on all of our social media platforms, press releases and posters.

CALL FOR ARTIST SUBMISSIONS, SILENT AUCTION DONATIONS, AND CHARITY SUGGESTIONS:

Due to the success of our last art show in June of 2013 that raised $1200 for O.W.L (Orphaned Wildlife) Rehabilitation Society, we have decided to pair with another local charity and even more local artists to host another community art show this year.

 What we are looking for:

 -   Local artists (Vancouver/Lower Mainland) to submit 1-10 pieces (depending on size). Your art can be for sale or not, whichever you prefer, and if you would like to donate a portion to charity that is up to you. Deadline for artist submissions is Nov 9, 2014. Please provide a link or photos of pieces you would like to submit including size dimensions.

 -  Local businesses to join forces with us and help create another successful event by donating goods or services to our silent auction (all proceeds will go to the charity, tbd soon). We will advertise your business in assosiation with the event online and in print.

 -  Clients, friends, family, and fans to suggest local charities that you would like to see supported in this event.

The end of an era with Jenny Jarrett...

Last weekend was Jenny's last days here at L.A.T. After starting her tattoo career with us 9 years ago, she is now moving on to pursue other passions. To commemorate these years she had Kylie tattoo an L.A.T tattoo machine on her. We love you too Jenny and wish you all the best! 

Farewell Jenny...

The time has come that our good friend/artist, Jenny Jarrett, is retiring from her tattoo career to pursue other endeavours. Jenny has been an integral part of the Liquid Amber team and we've enjoyed many great memories over the last 9 years together.

For Jenny's existing clients that have pieces to finish, or need touch-ups, please make sure to contact us asap to get in with Jenny before she leaves at the end of summer. 

Please note: Jenny will not be taking any new clients before she leaves (unless you are already booked in).

Thanks for all your hard work and amazing presence, Jenny! You will be greatly missed, but we wish you all the best in your future adventures!

L.A.T welcomes our newest artist, Crystal Osaurus!

We're excited to announce the addition of Crystal Osaurus to the L.A.T family! Crystal brings 6 years of tattooing experience and has a unique style specializing in geometric designs, mandalas, pointillism and script. Adieu to a good friend and artist!

We are saying farewell to tattoo artist Rene Botha who is moving on to a new adventure. Rene's last day at Liquid Amber will be Saturday May 3rd. Please join us in celebrating Rene's time at L.A.T. by raising a glass to her that very evening. We will be attending a rock show at The Media club.  Jessie Robertson (our shop manager) is playing bass for the female fronted band Miss Quincy and the Showdown.
